WorldSkills Georgia WorldSkills Georgia holds annual nation-wide competitions in various vocational skills, supports establishment of world standards into occupations and identification of most successful young people that represent Georgia in WorldSkills International competitions.
WorldSkills Georgia is a joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia (MoES), National Center of Education Quality Enhancement (EQE) and private structures and associations – Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Georgian Employer Association (GEA), German Business Association Georgia (DWVG), Business Association of Georgia (BAG), and Georgian Trade Union Confederation (GTUC), focused on the improvement of the quality of skills and raising them to the international standards. The project is implemented with support from the GIZ.
WorldSkills Georgia prepares teams of Georgian professionals to participate in international competitions. Representatives of private sector, associations and government sectors decide on the composition of the team based on the internal competition, with consideration of appropriate qualifications and internal competitions. The most qualified and perspective applicants are identified and prepared for participation in WorldSkills International.
