Within each vocational education program (except dual), a quota is set for people with special educational needs - at least 15% of the total group size. In the case of dual programs, the institution is authorized to set quotas at its own discretion.
Registration on vocational education programs is possible online, via the website - https://vet.emis.ge as well as in vocational education institutions and educational resource centers. Applicants with special educational needs are given the opportunity to select at least 3 vocational education programs.
Enrollment of people with special educational needs in vocational programs is organized through alternative testing, which means a practical trial of the professional programs selected by the applicant in order to make the best professional choice. Additional support mechanisms (font, adapted infrastructure, extra time) are provided for people with disabilities who are enrolled in professional programs through centralized enrollment.
During the alternative testing, the applicant is given the opportunity to practice several typical activities related to the program of his / her choice and, as a result of reflection on the gained experience, make the best professional choice for him / her.
